Richmond CPCU Board Members Jenn Cole and Rick Scherer met with Goochland County’s Chief of Fire-Rescue and Emergency Services, Dillard Ferguson Jr, to present a check for $500 in support of Goochland's smoke detector program.
The Richmond Chapter has proudly supported smoke detector programs in the Greater Richmond area for many, many years. These donations help provide smoke detectors and installation for those in need.

- Fire Prevention Week This year’s FPW campaign, “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety!” works to educate everyone about the different sounds the smoke and carbon monoxide alarms make. Knowing what to do when an alarm sounds will keep you and your family safe. When an alarm makes noises – a beeping sound or a chirping sound – you must take action.
