  1. How long have you been in the industry?  Since 1976
  2. What is your current position and employer?  Executive Client Relationship Manager with Assurant.
  3. How long did it take you to obtain your CPCU?  5 years
  4. What do you like most about your job?  I work with clients all over the country.  I have production responsibilities for over 12,000 independent insurance agencies.
  5. Why or how did you start in the insurance industry?  I was a Math Major and was looking to become an actuary but found commercial underwriting more interesting.
  6. Do you have any advice for anyone thinking of getting the designation?  Get the accounting done first.
  7. What book did you read last?  John Feinstein’s The First Major.
  8. What is your favorite restaurant? Sergios in Brandermill
  9. What college/university did you attend?  Wisconsin
  10. Tell us something about yourself outside of your insurance career.  I am an active member of the Brandermill Rotary Club and a season ticket holder for UVA football.  Go Hoos.
